2. Composites: Tips and Tricks
In today's world of restorative dentistry we are faced with so many choices. What is the best method for preping the tooth? What bonding agents work the best? How do I restore the tooth properly for a long standing restoration? How do I finish restorations correctly? What can I do with composite restorations and what their limitations? In this course all questions will be answered and you will be provided with innovated information you will put to use your first day back in the office.
3. Full Mouth Reconstruction: Do Not Be Afraid
Dr. Jeffrey Hoos will present an all day seminar that will put full mouth reconstruction into a context to make it manageable and understandable. He is going to show methods and materials that are used every day in a very successful private practice. Full mouth reconstruction is not something to be afraid of because every dentist has the skills to provide these services for their patients once they have the information to make the right decisions for their patients care. You will be given a systematic method to successfully provide this care for your patient base. The day will open you to information you will be able to apply immediately in your office. Be part of the "Giraffe Society" and willing to stick your neck out because the people who spend the day with Dr Hoos will be introduced to another way of looking at clinical situations that are presented every day. We will learn and problem solve together.

Dr. Jeffrey Hoos - "Painless Injections: It Can Be Done!" A Hands-on Workshop - $50
Limited to the first 30 registrants!
The number one practice builder is to be able to consistently deliver painless injections. Many people say I already do that in my practice. BE BOLD ENOUGH TO ASK YOUR STAFF. Now that hygienists are delivering injections in our practices; they too must give painless injections. You will learn a method that will absolutely change the way you give injections in your dental office. It's information so profound that a 70-year-old dentist at one lecture said, "This will truly change the way I practice dentistry from this day forward."
The ability to give truly painless injections is the #1 practice builder there is, but to give painless injections, most dentists rely on topical, The Wand, VIBRA
JET, N2O, or even sedating drugs. Well, that's about to change once you hear about Dr. Hoos' breakthrough techniques.
In this hands-on course, Dr. Hoos selects a volunteer from the audience and then demonstrates his techniques on three different types of injections: block, infiltration, and palatal injections. Yes, painless palatal injections with no topical. Then we will pair up and learn this break through method with each other.
You will also learn:
The real problem with dental phobias.
The three components you must master: Anatomy, Pharmacology, and Psychology.
An anatomy lesson on the 5th nerve.
Why you need an adult/adult relationship with your patients.
Understanding the ANS.
The real reason why anxious patients don't get numb.
Why and how to keep the sympathetic nervous system from "kicking in".
Why you may want to rethink the use of epi in local anesthetics.
What really causes the "epi rush" that may lead to syncope.
Why "painless injections" require some showmanship.
The magic of distraction and crossover.
Split second hypnosis... you won't believe how easy this is.
How to get the brain to take in too much information at the "right" moment.
The best brand and least expensive needle on the market, and the importance of sharpness.
How to get informed consent and relax the patient with one magic sentence.
How to tell if an injection is truly painless. The eyes have it!
Monday morning.....you will be giving injections differently!
